This movie is an interesting thriller-comedy which amuses the audience and simultaneously grips the audience's interests by the mysterious turn of events.

The backdrop of the film revolves around a small village where the people are very conservative and superstitious. Badri (Manoj Joshi) heads a Brahmin family whose ancestral palace is believed to be haunted. One day, Siddharth (Shiney Ahuja) and Avni (Vidya Balan), the son and daughter-in-law of Badri's elder brother return to their native village from America .

Events take on a twist when some unnatural events start taking place inside the palace. The blame comes to rest squarely on Radha (Amisha Patel), the adopted daughter of Badri.
Suddenly a psychiatrist from America , Dr. Aditya (Akshay Kumar) enters the scene. He is Siddharth's friend and uses modern analytical techniques to find out the culprit and solve the mystery. The film becomes a roller coaster ride from this point onwards.

Bhool Bhulaiyaa is a perfect blend of thrill and humor revealing undiscovered dimensions of human psychology which many of us could never even have imagined.

Storyline

The film opens up with chocolate boy Rohan (Ruslaan), the male lead of the film, catching a little more than the usual forty winks. As he wakes up just on time to scuttle away on his bicycle to school, en route his close friend Sudhir joins in.

Enter Ayesha (Hazel), a bright young fresher on her first trip to school who ends up having this bizarre first time experience with Rohan, while the latter is bunking class uses her as a shield to protect himself from the seething school principle.

The meet ups thereafter are full of drama as they realize that their mothers are school pals. After all the wisecracks and leg pulling at each others expense, the two fall in love.

The crux of the story is to be determined when an upset Ayesha moves to France with her aunt after a tussle over Rohan’s ego and sleep patterns.

How does Rohan react to the situation and would he be able to meet his Lady Love ever again? Would umpteen hurdles and the far thrown distance from the Eiffel Tower cement an end to their relationship?

Movie Storyline

On a calm summer day in 1991, in the bustling Lokhandwala Complex, five criminals including Maya and Dilip were counting 70 lakhs in flat no. 32 B, when 286 policemen, headed by ACP Khan, took strategic positions around their building. Gunfire ensued and the entire nation witnessed the most talked about daylight encounter lasting 6 hours that transformed suburban Mumbai into a virtual war zone.

Shootout At Lokhandwala is the story of a seasoned cop, Khan (Sanjay Dutt) who chased Khalistani extremists, handpicked cops like Inspector Kaviraj Patil and Constable Javed Shaikh, and dared to engage trigger-happy gangsters in a residential locality of Mumbai. Khan’s fight went beyond the encounter as he faced inquisition from his own department and legal charges of human rights violations.

Shootout At Lokhandwala is the story of an upcoming underworld gangster, Maya, and his highly skilled partner, Dilip. The two made extortion the buzzword in the early 90s and dared to disobey the big bhai of the underworld, drawing the attention of Khan and his newly formed ATS squad. Both Khan and Maya were men obsessed, so devoted to their professions that their personal lives were a disaster.

Sanjay Dutt plays the role of Additional Commissioner Aftab Ahmad Khan. Vivek Oberoi will play Maya Dolas, a mafia henchman who is killed in a police encounter. Tusshar Kapoor’s all set to play a negative role of Buva, who was also killed in the shootout. Abhishek Bachchan will play the role Abhishek Mahatre, another police inspector who played a key role in the shootout. Dia Mirza (Mita Matu), an earthy, refined and aggressive reporter while Aarti Chhabria plays Tarannum a bar dancer Tarannum’s case has been in news for quite sometime and is still fresh in people’s minds. Arbaaz Khan will be essaying the role of cop in the film. Every body has a different look as the film is inspired from a real life incident.
